Burning Information
The burning of agriculture clearing and yard waste is permitted and recommended only during daylight hours. All other items are prohibited under penalty of law.
Check your local weather before and during burning.
The minimum required distance from structures while burning are:
Open Burning = 50’
Burn Pile that is no more than 3’ diameter and 2’ high = 25’
Approved container = 15’
During burning you must have a means of extinguishing the fire such as; a portable fire extinguisher (4-A rated min.), a connected water hose or other water source, shovel & dirt or sand.
Stay with the fire until it is out and call 911 if you have any problems.
